The
school was founded in 1980 by its present Swiss owner. It
offers instruction in a wide range of modern languages such
as Spanish, English, French, German, Portuguese, Mandarin
and Russian. The Spanish language program is one of the finest
offered in Chile. Many courses are offered on a year round
basis. All of the Academy's language instructors are highly
qualified and experienced native Spanish speakers and knowledgeable
in a variety of language teaching methods. They are also well
aware of the differences between Spanish spoken in Spain,
Mexico and other countries in South America.
Private
courses are geared towards one to three students and group
courses for 4 to 8 students. They have been designed to totally
immerse the student in the Spanish language and can also be
tailored to suit any special business or professional needs.
Over
the years students have come to study Spanish at the academy
from many countries such as Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada,
China, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Great Britain, Holland,
Hungary, India, Italy, Korea, Lebanon, New Zealand, Norway,
Switzerland, and Taiwan. They have all enjoyed and benefitted
